Enter Harley - Maine Coon boy extraordinaire - not because he has ever been shown or won any championships, for he has not. He has won my heart though and for me that is the Maine thing! He came from a lovely breeder known as Coonflakes - her website is shown on my links page. Laura Whitmarsh has been doing very well indeed but is too modest to say this on her site - she calls it moderate success. My thanks to Laura for letting me have such a lovely boy from amongst her kittens out of Willowplace Yosemite Sam and Adouzlo Smartypants in 1998. Harley comes from a lovely beginning and I hope I am giving him a good life. He often enjoys the garden which has high fences to prevent straying or strays. He is much adored by all my girls. He is such a fit boy and has never been to the vet except to renew his annual vaccinations.

When you take your girl to a stud, facilities vary greatly - I would recommend that you make an arrangement to visit the stud owner. Most reputable stud owners will be delighted to show you their stud and queens quarters. The boys who have sired litters from my queens are: Adhirem Porrima Quinten owned by Mala Janes - for Zoe’s first pregnancy - sired three big babies. Zeppelin Deerhunter (Butch) owned by Mrs Doreen Sillis - for Zoe’s second (siring four babies) and third pregnancies. Kingsowen Rumbunctious Boy (Stolly) owned by Mrs Sandra Kingswell for Suki’s first pregnancy - sired four babies.
Begeswick Pinball Wizard (Ash) owned by Keith and Doreen Sillis - Suki's second, third and fourth pregnancies - he sired six babies, born on 7th January 2006, six babies born 13 September 2006 and six babies born 11 September 2007.

I would like to thank everyone to whom I have taken my queens for their kind hospitality and diligence whilst watching over a mating. People who own a stud or stud cats have to be very special people indeed and be able to give a lot of love and care to their boys and to the visiting queens. |
